Rejection Pain

Lizzy told me the most astonishing thing! Apparently, Mr. Darcy proposed to her. I always knew she was a special girl, whodeserves a well-bred man. Her refusal must have been a great disappointment to him. It's a shame that hispride meant that he didn't expect her rejection. I, especially, can understand the pain from losing one you love.

  1. It is true that I was shocked at Lizzy's rejection of me. I am a handsome and wealthy man, and she will probably never find much better. After careful consideration of her reasoning, I have slowly allowed my pride to heal, even after the humiliation it faced. I hope that my letter will help to heal the reputation of me that exists between both you and your sister, Elizabeth.
